1. CITT (Child Improvement Through Therapy) www.cittkids.com Criteria – insurance will not cover and household income is less than $100,000 per year. 2. United Healthcare Grant - www.uhccf.org Criteria- Child is 16 or younger. No coverage from a commercial health benefit plan, insurance, or lacks insurance. The family Adjusted Gross Income cannot exceed $20,000.00 per family member. The award up to $5000.00 per year (allows for 66 therapy visits). Limited to $7500.00 lifetime maximum. 3. ATC Today – Autism Care and Treatment- www.act-today.org/act-today-grant-program.php Distributes grants quarterly. Typical grants awarded range between $100.00 and $5,000.00. ATS OFFERS SUMMER PROGRAMS 1. Social Language Groups - Designed for students between the ages of 10-14 who have high level verbal skills but need assistance with topic maintenance, eye contact, initiation, turn-taking, perspective-taking, “wh” questions and active listening. Meeting one time per week for 8 weeks. Call us for days, times and rates. 2. Small Talk Parent Training - for Parents ONLY, 4 week training, once a week for 2 hours each. Targets young children between 9 months and older who are just beginning to use single words to those just beginning to combine 2-3 words. This is an intensive course where you will learn specific therapy techniques to significantly increase language skills. Four sessions, one time weekly, 2 hours each held at 6:00-8:00 pm. on Wednesday evenings May 4, 11, 18, 25. Cost for the 4-week training is $100.00. There will be no refunds for missed sessions. Call 480-820-6366 to register. 3. “Handwriting Without Tears” - Improve any child's Handwriting Skills with this simple, successful program http://www.sensory-processing-disorder.com/handwriting-without-tears.html 'Handwriting Without Tears' is a MUST HAVE program designed by Occupational Therapists to improve fine motor, visual perception, and eye-hand coordination skills which impact a child's handwriting abilities. Children from the ages of 4 to 8 will benefit most from this program. This program is a simple, proven successful, user-friendly resource which WILL improve your child's letter formation, speed, neatness and legibility in handwriting skills.This program uses a consistent, easy to follow, multi-sensory approach and is very successful with the 2-lined method to teach proper letter formation. It is an easy and fun way to learn the skills that often frustrate our children, parents, and teachers. The program is also designed to use with left-handed children. The program includes easy steps for pre-writing skills, and learning printing and cursive handwriting for children of all ages and developmental levels. Accessories to help build these skills can include 'wiki sticks', tabletop easels, developmentally appropriate workbooks, double lined paper, cursive or printed alphabet desk strips, teacher's guides, and printed or cursive display cards. The program is taught by a licensed Occupational Therapist who has been certified in the Handwriting Without Tears Program. Call our office to schedule at 480-820-6366. The training is geared towards parents, teachers, therapists, students or anyone else who wants to learn the basics of the DynaVox series 5 software.ATS is now providing HIPPOTHERAPY!!!! (Therapy on Horseback) (HIPPO= Greek for horse)ATS is now in full swing providing Hippotherapy to our clients. Therapy can be provided for OT, Speech or PT and is generally covered as a therapy session by DDD. The sessions are held at Hoofbeats with Hearts in Queen Creek on Germann and Ironwood.
